2013 Season Has Begun, May 29th Rankings Release PlannedPosted: 2013-05-16 21:38:00 ET
Now that the 2013 season has begun, the OLA is recording game scores on a daily basis. These games scores are reported through the local zone coordinators so they can take a few days to get to the OLA and get recorded in MYLax. Team records are now being updated as the games are recorded. Ratings and Rankings will not be published until enough games are played to make the rankings statistically significant.
With the OLA taking a lead role, MYLax anticipates making its first 2013 season rankings update on May 29, 2013. It will update these rankings every Wednesday through the completion of the season. For the first 4 weeks, the minimum number of games required by a team to appear in the rankings will be just 5 games. This will help teams and tournaments get a feel for the level a team appears to be playing at in the early season. MYLax rankings become much more accurate as the number of games played and the variety of competition played increases. Because teams are required to play a minimum of 10 games throughout the season, all rankings release on and after June 26, 2013 will use a 10 game minimum.
You are encouraged to work with your coaches and zone coordinators if there appears to be an issue getting game scores into MYLax.
